🌅 Early Morning Meetup at Tokyo Mode Gakuen
We began our day bright and early in Shinjuku, where we met our tour group at the iconic Tokyo Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower. Booked via Klook, this tour was seamless from start to finish — clean bus, friendly guide, and a packed itinerary ahead!
🏞️ First Stop: Oshino Hakkai – The Crystal-Clear Springs
Our first destination was the scenic Oshino Hakkai, a peaceful village with eight spring-fed ponds at the foot of Mount Fuji. The water was incredibly clear, reflecting the surrounding trees and rooftops like glass.
We strolled through charming streets lined with traditional shops and tried some local snacks like grilled mochi, wasabi-flavored crackers, and the sweetest strawberries! You can even see Mount Fuji peeking behind the thatched-roof houses — a picture-perfect moment!
🍱 Lunch with a View at Golden Fuji
Next, we headed to Golden Fuji Restaurant for lunch. The set meal was hearty and satisfying — rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, tempura, and juicy karaage (fried chicken). Best of all, the dining area had large windows offering a panoramic view of Mount Fuji, making every bite more memorable.
🌟 Tip: Save room for dessert — they often include seasonal fruit or green tea jelly!
🛍️ Exploring Tianti Town & the Lawson Stop
After lunch, we made a quick stop at Tianti Town, a charming little shopping spot where we grabbed some Mount Fuji-themed souvenirs. Right next to it was a Lawson convenience store — surprisingly aesthetic with a direct view of Fuji-san right behind it. We stocked up on snacks and drinks for the road. A great photo op!
🏯 Arakurayama Sengen Shrine Park – That Iconic Pagoda View
This was a highlight of the tour: climbing the steps to Arakurayama Sengen Shrine Park to see the iconic Chureito Pagoda with Mount Fuji in the background. The walk up was a bit of a workout (nearly 400 steps!), but the view was absolutely worth it.
The shrine itself was serene, and we spent time soaking in the moment, capturing photos of one of Japan’s most famous postcard scenes.
🚉 Anime Trains & Railway Sights
On the way back, we passed a few train stations where we spotted anime-themed trains — perfect for any otaku or train enthusiast. Some were decked out in vibrant artwork from popular series, blending the traditional scenery with modern Japanese pop culture.
🚌 Back to Tokyo Mode – A Day Well Spent
We returned to Tokyo Mode Gakuen by early evening, tired but full of joy and gratitude. The trip gave us a taste of rural Japan, sacred shrines, food culture, and Fuji’s unmatched beauty — all in one day.
Whether you're short on time or want a stress-free way to see Mount Fuji, this Klook tour is 100% worth it.
